Why is translation a beneficial activity while learning a language? Not only does it make more evident both structural differences and similarities between two languages, but it also turns your brain into a more powerful language processor.  Translation also facilitates your ability to switch seamlessly between those languages.  In this course we will be translating phrases and passages (oral and written activities) that deal with preposition usage, idiomatic expressions, past tenses, as well as structures that are more likely to become “literal traps”.

Materials will be provided by the instructor.
