The course focuses on reviewing important grammatical structures introduced at the C1 level and on the practice of conversational skillsets.  Both aspects of the course reflect a very advanced level of Italian proficiency (C1). Course activities include text composition and translation as well as discussion of news articles, short stories, online resources (audio, video, web feeds); possibly short presentations; communicative games and situational dialogues.

Course features:
  • 2.5 hour classes each week for 10 weeks, total
  • Small class sizes of maximum 9 students
  • Our courses follow the Common European Framework set by the European Council
  • Highly qualified professional teachers with significant experience in teaching Italian as a second language. 

IMPORTANT - New students at the Istituto must complete the placement test before registering for this class.  The purpose of this test is to ensure students are taking the correct course based on their assessed level.  Returning students are not required to take  this test.

The C1. R level Italian course is a language improvement course. It is aimed at students with an already established level of Italian who wish to acquire command of the language to express themselves fluently in any context of daily life
