Evviva il congiuntivo! A tutorial to review and practice the subjunctive

Who said the congiuntivo was in decline?  As the Italian subjunctive is a favourite among students, this course - which is both tutorial and practictum - will review and deconstruct this modo verbale.  The construction and uses of the four tenses of the subjunctive will be reviewed, as well as their accompanying conjunctions and the agreement of tenses.  Our focus will be on how the individual perceives the “necessity” of the congiuntivo and how to better integrate this structure into your spoken Italian.

Materials will be provided by the instructor.

Pre-requisite: Students who have completed level B1

Course is composed of 10 one-hour meetings on Tuesdays 4:30 to 5:30 pm 

Course starts on October 10, 2023

IMPORTANT - New students at the Istituto must complete the placement test before registering for this class.  The purpose of this test is to ensure students are taking the correct course based on their assessed level.  Returning students are not required to take  this test.
