COURSE DESCRIPTION

Upper Intermediate 1 | B2.1

This is the first course of the intermediate-advanced B2 level and is intended for all those who have already completed the B1 level. This course is designed to help students strengthen their ability to communicate clearly and fluently in Italian on a wide range of everyday and abstract topics.

In class, students will be encouraged to express their opinions on different lifestyles, evaluate the pros and cons of various life philosophies, and describe and interpret images and messages. The course will focus on enhancing vocabulary related to the language of mass media, ways of living, and idiomatic expressions.

By the end of the course, students will be more confident in expressing themselves in complex contexts and understanding nuanced language.

Syllabus B2.1:

In this course, the following elements will be introduced or reviewed:

• Vocabulary related to media language, lifestyles, and idiomatic expressions
• Position of adjectives
• Review of the hypothetical period (reality and possibility)
• Advanced impersonal constructions
• The infinitive used as a noun

Course duration:        2.5-hour lessons once a week for 10 weeks

New students must take a placement test to register for this course.
