This course is intended to help students strengthen their verbal skills and practice the advanced grammar structure they already learned.  Students will be encouraged to engage in conversations among themselves and with their teacher, as well as prepare their own informal presentations to the class.  The class will approach different topics ranging from artistic to cultural, geographic, historical and literary. The course will also offer informal review of basic as well as more advanced (B2) linguistic structure with the aim of facilitating a more fluid and spontaneous communication.

Pre-requisite: Students who have completed level B2

Course features:
  • 2.5 hour classes each week for 10 weeks, total
  • Small class sizes of maximum 9 students
  • Our courses follow the Common European Framework set by the European Council
  • Highly qualified professional teachers with significant experience in teaching Italian as a second language. 
IMPORTANT - New students at the Istituto must complete the placement test before registering for this class.  The purpose of this test is to ensure students are taking the correct course based on their assessed level.  Returning students are not required to take  this test.

The course focuses primarily on the practice of conversational skillsets whilst reviewing important grammatical structures introduced at the B2 level. Both aspects of the course reflect an advanced level of Italian proficiency (B2).
