Le borse dell'Istituto

The Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Toronto provides access to bursaries offered by private schools to study Italian in Italy.  The bursaries are available to students enrolled in Italian Studies in Ontario, Central and Western Canada, as well as students enrolled in courses at Istituto.

In order to qualify for a bursary to cover part or all of the cost of a course offered by the proposed schools, applicants must be enrolled in and attending regularly an Italian language course at a Canadian University, College or Secondary School or be a student enrolled in Italian courses at Istituto italiano di cultura – Toronto.

Students must fill out an application providing as much information as possible, the more supporting information is submitted the stronger the application.  Please note: applicants must provide a brief reference note from their Italian teacher indicating the level of proficiency they achieved, how long they have been studying Italian, the regularity of their attendance, the student’s degree of motivation and any other remarks they feel would apply.

Preference is given, as stated, to individual currently enrolled in Italian programs/courses.  In case of residual unassigned bursaries applications from the general public are considered.

Travel and accommodation costs as well as any additional expenses, are the responsibility of the student.  To facilitate attendance, schools often offer assistance in the research of accommodation for the duration of the course.

The awarding of scholarships is made at the sole discretion of the Istituto.  Among the factors taken into consideration are whether the student has already been awarded a scholarship in the past, how assiduously they follow their courses, as well as any financial needs.  Priority will be given to students enrolled in Italian or Language Studies Programs in local Universities or Colleges.

Istituto Italiano di Cultura is not responsible for the quality of the courses offered by the schools selected by the applicants.

In the case of applications for minor students, it is the applicants' responsibility to verify that the desired school accepts students of the applicant's age and offers appropriate programs and accommodations.
The Istituto is not responsible for minor students.
